ABOUT US
Grandparents Club was formed in September 2007 by David Barnard. For a number of years David had been involved as publicity officer with The Grandparents Association a registered charity providing support and assistance for grandparents and grandchildren. He recognised that there were a number of areas which were of interest to grandparents which had largely been ignored by the ever increasing number of web sites available to the general public. He therefore decided to set up the Grandparents Club web site to address these areas. Sadly David passed away very suddenly in April 2008. His family and co-directors have continued to develop this site incorporating many of David's original ideas.
There are in excess of fourteen million grandparents in the United Kingdom and also significant numbers living abroad. Over 55% have access to and use the internet and this percentage is increasing. Many others will have access via their children and grandchildren.
This web site is designed to bring grandparents a wide range of discounted products and services such as insurance, holidays, toys, books, clothes, etc The emphasis will always be on quality and value. We are also seeking to achieve a 'one-stop' site where the majority of grandparents' requirements will be accessible. To do this we will utilise an affiliate partners program. Any recommendations or comments concerning this site will always be welcomed.
We shall also provide regular news letters updating members of additional partners, special offers, news from the charities and in conjunction with The Grandparents' Association topics which are particularly relevant to grandparents.
We shall continually upgrade, expand and improve the site to enhance the benefits that will be available to our members.
