NORBRECK HOTEL - JUNE 2009 |
We were picked up in Fulham where we boarded our pickup coach for the trip to pick up the coach that was to take us to the resort of Scarborough. The hill top hotel overlooks both the North and South Bays, with breathtaking panoramic sea view. The peaceful location and hotel room offered us the chance to unwind from London life, and to enjoy the hospitality of Yorkshire. We highly recommend the trip and said “it’s just like stepping back in time”. • Full day to Beverley with visit to Burton Agnes Hall a magnificent Elizabethan house. Beverley – The County Town of the West Ridings of Yorkshire is an interested and busy place to visit on market day and Beverley Abbey is quite beautiful. Burton Agnes Hall - An interesting place to visit with over four thousand plant species, maze, ice cream parlour, jungle garden, local produce and more. It also had the most unusual art gallery we had ever seen. The Bus Gallery is so called because it is an old Red Route Master London Bus. The bus is used to exhibit the art works produced by local artists. • Half day to the seaside resort of Whitby famed for its connections with Captain Cook and Dracula plus a visit to Whitby Abbey. We enjoyed the picturesque Fishing port and harbour of Whitby, which are timeless. |

GUNTON HALL - JUNE 2009 |
Accommodation – Premier Suite Chalet consisting of: En Suite bathroom with plenty of towels Gunton Hall, Lowestoft, Suffolk is set in 50 acres of beautiful grounds and secluded woodlands. The site offered excellent car-parking facilities and a bus service runs from just outside the entrance into the towns of Lowestoft, with its vast array of shops, theatre and the stunning Sparrow Nest Gardens’ or the seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, with its miles of sandy beaches, promenade, 2 piers and winter gardens. For those who did not want to take the bus or drive Warners had trips arranged to various locations around Suffolk and Norfolk. We would highly recommend a break at Gunton Hall, but felt those 4 days were long enough. Yes, we would go back for a second visit, but should like to try another Warners Leisure Break elsewhere first. |
