Although we featured this petition last month, we are keeping it in this months newsletter due to the high level of support this has received. We would like to urge you to send this to anyone you know to give them a CHANCE TO ADD THEIR SIGNATURE TO THE GRANDPARENTS' ASSOCIATION NATIONAL PETITION. You can read below what Lynn Chesterman Chief Executive of the GPA has to say.
Grandchildren should have the right to know and have contact with their grandparents.
Lynn Chesterman CE says, "We believe that, as long as it is safe to do so, grandchildren should be allowed to have a minimum of ‘letter box’ contact and be free to receive appropriate cards, presents and letters from their grandparents on special occasions (birthdays, religious holidays etc). We still believe that this would finally have the effect of enshrining contact between children and their grandparents in law."
We need all members, those who attend our groups, friends etc to collect as many signatures as possible and return them to Moot House by 8th November 2011.
Please use the official petition sheets - please feel free to copy them. or call 01279 428040.
Let us all make our voices heard for the sake of our grandchildren."

Princess’ Lydia meets HRH Prince William
Little Lydia never dreamed that her wish to be a princess would bring her face-to-face with a real-life prince, especially HRH Prince William!
Born with a hole in her heart and pulmonary atresia, a form of congenital heart disease, six year old Lydia has undergone major surgical procedures and overcome some very complex medical difficulties. At just two years of age, she was also diagnosed with Alagille syndrome, which is a rare disorder that seriously affects the liver and means Lydia requires daily medication and may, in the future, need further surgery.
